Sam Ward

I have always been passionate about motorcycles. At a very young age I was introduced to the off-road world. I grew up riding dirt bikes recreationally, and then transitioned to racing competitively. Like any athlete, I suffered from multiple injuries that eventually ended my racing career. I wanted to continue my passion for riding into my career path, which eventually put me at that front steps of Harley Davidson. I began working for the legendary brand when I was 18. I was hired as a lot tech, which ultimately meant I did any and all jobs around the shop to keep it clean and workable. I was the last line of defense which meant I got to clean and polish the bikes for the customer after the technician was done fixing it. I loved my job, and wanted to grow and move my way up the ladder. I made it clear to the company that I wanted to be a Harley Davidson technician one day. This is where my career began to take shape and come to life. I began shadowing a great mechanic that eventually became a great friend that I still spend quality time with to this day. Bobby gave me all the time in the world to teach me this trade and if it wasn’t for his guidance, I wouldn't be where I am in my career today. I remember hearing people talk about Master level technicians, and how smart and valuable they were. So, I set a goal to be the best in this industry and accomplish that level of knowledge. Moving forward, I was started on new bike set up. I made sure the new bikes were assembled and ready to be sold. Collision repairs were my next task which soon became my daily work. After 3 years working for the dealership, I got the opportunity to start attending Harley Davidson University. I spent the next 6 years working on the job and then flying out to Wisconsin in the winter to attend instructor led classes at the Harley Davidson factory. Not only did I get the privilege to be trained by some of the best in the industry, I got to walk the halls of the iconic factory at Juneau Ave. After 6 years of hard work in school, and learning hands on from factory trained technicians, I earned my Master level certification from Harley Davidson. It felt so unreal to accomplish this goal I set. Now I sit back and reflect on what I have done and it has become a stepping stone to what’s coming next. I’ve leaped from a not so important lot tech, to creating a business that I am so excited to offer this world of motorcycle enthusiasts.
